Quick setup, good support

Needed Contractor Management for a new project. Setup was quick. Support answered my questions fast. System works as expected. Happy with the service.

Pretty easy to use, decent features

I signed up for their Global Workforce Payments to manage a few contractors, and it's been pretty straightforward. Setting up payments was simple enough, and the multi-currency thing just works. It felt a bit pricy for just a few contractors, but the convenience was worth it. The dashboard is clean, and I found what I needed without much fuss. No major complaints, got the job done.

Good service, some onboarding friction

I used Papaya Global for Employer of Record services for a new hire in Germany. The overall process was quite smooth, and their team was responsive to my questions about local compliance. The pricing structure was clear upfront, which I appreciated. My main gripe was that the initial onboarding documents felt a bit overwhelming, and it took a few back-and-forths to get everything perfectly aligned. The employee self-service portal is functional, but could be a bit more intuitive. Still, it got the job done and saved me a lot of headaches compared to doing it all myself.

Reliable and consistent platform

This was our third time using Papaya Global, this time for expanding our HRIS capabilities and adding Workforce Analytics. We've used them before for EOR and Global Payroll, and they've always been consistently reliable. The data security is top-notch, which is a big concern for us. This latest implementation went just as smoothly as the previous ones. It's why we keep coming back; they just deliver without surprises. The platform has definitely grown over time, making it even more robust.

how long does it actually take to get everything set up and running? My current system is a mess and I need to switch ASAP.

S Shane S. 2 months ago
Depends on your company's complexity, but from what I heard, it's not an instant thing. Could be weeks, maybe a month or two for a proper setup, especially with international stuff. Better to plan for it.

My friend's company, which is fairly small, took about a month to get fully onboarded. It's not like signing up for Netflix, there's a bit involved getting all the data in and compliant.

I'm looking at Papaya Global, but also Deel. Has anyone here used both or can compare them? What are the main differences?

T Todd Vargas 1 month ago
I've only used Papaya, but from what I gather, Papaya is a bit more robust for enterprise-level stuff and really shines with global payroll consolidation. Deel is also good, but maybe a bit more geared towards contractor management initially.

Yeah, Papaya seems to focus more on the comprehensive global payroll and EOR for larger orgs. Deel is a solid competitor though, especially if you're heavy on just contractors. Best to do demos for both and see which interface you like better.

Are there any hidden costs with Papaya Global? Like, do they charge extra for setting things up or something?

R Raj L. 1 month ago
Sometimes they waive implementation fees, especially for bigger contracts or if you catch them during a promo period. It's not usually 'hidden' but definitely something to clarify upfront.

They *can* have implementation fees, but I've heard of people getting them waived. It's usually part of the negotiation, so make sure to ask about it during your call.

Thinking about using Papaya Global for my small business, we're growing pretty fast. Do they have anything for startups or is it mostly for huge companies?

I Ivy Beaumont 1 month ago
Yeah, they totally do. I saw something about a startup program when I was looking around last year. Might be worth asking about a specific discount for that.

They definitely cater to different sizes. I'm pretty sure there's a startup pricing tier or something similar. Doesn't hurt to ask their sales team when you do a demo, they usually have specific deals.

So, I'm trying to find where to put in a coupon code but can't see a field anywhere. Am I blind or do they just not do that?

R Rachel 2 months ago
Nah, you're not blind. They don't really do promo codes like a regular online store. Discounts are usually through sales reps or specific links they give you.

A Andre Hughes 2 months ago
They don't use those alphanumeric codes. If you're getting a deal, it'll be applied directly by the sales team during the quote or if you came from a specific referral link. Don't waste time looking for a coupon box.

Can I get a discount if I pay for a whole year upfront? My CFO loves those kinds of deals.

S Sarah 2 months ago
Pretty sure they do annual billing discounts. Most SaaS platforms do, and Papaya is no exception, afaik it's usually around 10-20% off the monthly rate.

M Mia E. 2 months ago
Definitely ask about it. I know someone who got a pretty sweet deal by committing to an annual plan. It's a common way they give discounts instead of using promo codes.
